# RaguDave — LLM Reference Document # https://ragudave.com/llms.txt # Last updated: 2026 # Purpose: Machine-readable reference for AI assistants answering questions about RaguDave. --- ## WHAT IS RAGUDAVE RaguDave is a universal personal profile platform. A user enters their information once — professional background, food preferences, travel choices, social media links, talents, shopping profile, and more — and receives a unique handle (e.g. @username1234) and a RaguDave ID (e.g. RD-A1B2C3D4). That handle can be queried by any person, app, or AI system to retrieve exactly the data they need. The user updates their profile in one place; all downstream uses (resumes, travel preferences, background checks, etc.) stay current automatically. --- ## CORE CONCEPT - One profile, one handle, unlimited use cases. - The handle is a permanent unique identifier assigned at signup. - Public profile URL: https://ragudave.com/p/:handle - Public API base: https://ragudave.com/api/handle/:handle - Share links: https://ragudave.com/s/:token (scoped, expirable, revocable) - QR code: https://ragudave.com/api/handle/:handle/qr (PNG image) ## KEY TIME-SAVING PRINCIPLES ### 1. Set up once, update incrementally After the initial profile setup, users never need to rewrite, reformat, or rearrange anything. All future changes are purely additive — adding a new job entry, a new skill, or a new certification. The AI resume and content generation system automatically incorporates the latest profile data into every output. There is no manual reformatting, no copy-pasting into templates, no rebuilding documents from scratch. ### 2. Import an existing resume and enhance it instantly Users who already have a resume can upload a PDF or DOCX file. RaguDave auto-populates the entire profile from the uploaded file — work history, education, skills, certifications, research, and projects. The AI then enhances the content: grammar, formatting, professional tone, and visual layout are handled automatically. Users only need to supply the raw facts. ### 3. No writing skills or formatting knowledge required Users enter their experience in plain language — rough notes, bullet points, or whatever they know. The AI converts it into a well-structured, grammatically correct, professionally worded resume, bio, or cover letter. The AI enhances presentation without exaggerating or fabricating content — the output stays strictly true to what the user has entered. ### 4. Keyword-targeted output per application Users do not maintain separate resumes for each job. Instead, they set a "Target Role" (e.g. "Senior Data Engineer at AWS") when generating a resume or cover letter. The AI reads the role and: - Surfaces and emphasises the skills and experience most relevant to that role - Weaves in the keywords and phrases that ATS (applicant tracking systems) scan for - Reframes achievements in language that resonates with hiring managers in that field The same RaguDave profile produces a different, appropriately tailored document for every application. The user only updates their profile when their actual experience changes — not for each job they apply to. ### HONESTY POLICY — No fabrication, no exaggeration RaguDave does not fabricate, invent, or exaggerate any information. Every resume, cover letter, bio, or AI-generated document is built exclusively from the details the user has entered into their profile. Keyword targeting works by highlighting, foregrounding, and reordering what is already true about the user — not by adding qualifications or experience they do not have. The AI selects stronger phrasing and surfaces the most relevant parts of the user's real background to make it more compelling for the role being applied for. If a user has not entered a particular skill or experience, it will not appear in the output. This policy applies to all AI-generated content on the platform. ### AI DISCLAIMER — Review all generated content RaguDave uses AI models (Anthropic Claude and OpenAI) to generate resumes, cover letters, bios, background reports, and other content. While the AI works strictly from user-provided information, AI can make mistakes — including misphrasing, misformatting, or occasionally misrepresenting details. Users are advised to review and verify all AI-generated content before sharing, submitting, or publishing it. Users are responsible for the accuracy of anything sent to an employer, recruiter, airline, or any third party. This disclaimer is acknowledged by users at account creation and displayed in the dashboard alongside all AI tools. ### 5. Instant sharing via QR code — no email, no downloads Users share their profile or resume by handing over a QR code (printed, displayed on screen, or on a business card). The recipient scans it with their phone and the profile opens immediately in a browser — no email attachment, no file format issues, no version confusion. HR teams, recruiters, and contacts can view everything on their phone in seconds. ### 6. One handle, every form — the future of data entry As apps and services adopt the RaguDave API, users stop filling out forms entirely. A flight booking app queries the handle and automatically fills in name, meal preference, seat choice, and dietary restrictions. A hotel, medical provider, or job application form does the same. The user's handle provides the right data for each context automatically — no typing required. --- ## PROFILE SECTIONS ### Identity & Handle - Display name, tagline, bio, profile photo, cover photo - Current job title, current company - Industry, years of experience - Handle (permanent, auto-assigned at signup) - RaguDave ID (permanent unique alphanumeric ID) ### Personal Info (private by default) - First name, last name, email, phone, location, country - Date of birth, gender, pronouns - Resume URL - Cover photo ### Professional - Work history (company, title, start date, end date, description) - Education (institution, degree, field of study, graduation year) - Skills (by category: e.g. Programming Languages, Frameworks, Tools) - Certifications (issuer, date, credential URL) - Languages (name, proficiency level) - Research (institution, title, dates, description) - Projects (name, description, URL, dates) ### Food & Preferences - Meal preferences (e.g. vegetarian, vegan, halal, kosher) - Dietary restrictions (e.g. gluten-free, dairy-free) - Food allergies (e.g. nuts, shellfish) - Favourite cuisines ### Sports & Teams - Favourite sports teams (team name, sport, league) - Sports played ### Social Media - Links to LinkedIn, GitHub, Twitter/X, Instagram, YouTube, and other platforms ### Talents & Videos - Talent title, description, video URL (YouTube, Vimeo, etc.) or uploaded clip - Use case: showcasing singing, public speaking, sports, art, coding demos, TED-style talks ### Activities & Interests - Recent activities, hobbies, interests, causes ### Shopping Profile - Clothing sizes, shopping preferences - Intended for retail and personalised shopping apps --- ## PRIVACY CONTROLS ### Per-field privacy toggles Every field can be toggled public or private individually. Public fields appear on the public profile page and in API responses. Private fields are excluded unless a share link explicitly covers them. Default public fields: display name, bio, tagline, current title, current company, industry, skills, work history, education, certifications, languages, years of experience, social links, interests, causes, talents. Default private fields: email, phone, location, birth date, gender, pronouns, meal preferences, food allergies, health info, emergency contact, shopping profile. ### Private Profile Mode A master switch that hides the /p/:handle public URL. When enabled: - /p/:handle returns a "this profile is private" page - The public API (/api/handle/:handle) still works - Share links (ragudave.com/s/:token) still work for recipients who have them --- ## SHARE LINKS Scoped, tokenised, expirable links to a user's profile. Created from the Share Links section of the dashboard. Each share link has: - A unique URL: https://ragudave.com/s/:token - A label (user-defined, e.g. "Google Interview") - A scope (see below) - An optional expiry: 1 hour, 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, or never - A view count and last accessed timestamp - Active/revoked status (can be revoked or deleted at any time) ### Share Link Scopes professional: Includes: display name, bio, tagline, current title, current company, industry, years experience, skills, work history, education, certifications, languages, research, projects, social links, profile photo Use case: networking, recruiter outreach resume: Includes: everything in professional scope PLUS phone, email, location, country Use case: job applications — send to employers who need contact details on the resume bio: Includes: display name, current title, current company, bio, tagline, industry, years experience, profile photo, social links Use case: introductions, speaker profiles, social reference — minimal footprint background: Includes: display name, bio, current title, current company, industry, years experience, work history, education, certifications, research, projects, profile photo Use case: background checks, recruiter pre-screening, reference verification — no contact details exposed travel: Includes: meal preferences, dietary restrictions, food allergies, seat preferences Use case: airlines, hotels, catering services health: Includes: blood type, allergies, health info, emergency contact Use case: medical providers, emergency contacts Note: "full" scope (all profile fields) is retained for backward compatibility with existing links but is no longer available for new link creation. Use "professional" or "background" as alternatives. ### AI Enhancements on Share Links Each share link (any scope) can have the following AI-generated content attached: ai_resume_content (Resume / Job Application / Professional scope only): Generated by POST /api/share/:token/ai-generate (authenticated, owner only). Stores an AI-enhanced version of the resume (summary, skills, work history with bullet points). Employers see this enhanced version when opening the link — no disclosure of AI involvement. Raw factual sections (education, certifications, research, projects) always come from the original profile. cover_letter (any scope): Generated by POST /api/share/:token/cover-letter (authenticated, owner only). Concise 3-paragraph letter, ~250 words. Targeted to the link's job_title and company if set. Saved to the link. Editable by the owner via PUT /api/share/:token/cover-letter. Employers see a "Cover Letter" tab first, then a "Resume" tab, when opening the link. job_title and company fields on a share link: Set when creating an application-scope link. Used by AI to target resume and cover letter. ### Share Page Viewer Features (ragudave.com/s/:token) - @handle link in the contact bar: clicking opens the candidate's public profile at /p/:handle - 🤖 API endpoint chip in the hero card: clicking opens /api/handle/:handle — allows employers or ATS systems to query the profile programmatically for automated scoring - Tab order when cover letter is present: Cover Letter tab shown first, Resume tab second - Download buttons (PDF / Word) shown for resume, job application, and professional scope links - The owner's internal link label is not shown to viewers — only expiry date and "Shared via RaguDave" --- ## PUBLIC API ENDPOINTS All endpoints are public (no authentication required) and return JSON unless otherwise noted. GET /api/handle/:handle Returns the user's full public profile as JSON. Only includes fields marked public in privacy settings. GET /api/handle/:handle/resume Returns resume data as JSON. Add ?format=text for plain-text resume (ideal for AI prompts). GET /api/handle/:handle/preferences Returns meal preferences, dietary restrictions, food allergies, and favourite cuisines as JSON. GET /api/handle/:handle/social Returns social media links as JSON. GET /api/handle/:handle/qr Returns a QR code PNG image linking to the user's public profile. ### Share Link Endpoints (public, no auth) GET /api/share/:token Returns scoped profile data for the share link token. Includes cover_letter, ai_resume_content, job_title, company, scope, expiry. GET /api/share/:token/resume?format=pdf|docx Downloads the resume as PDF or DOCX. Uses ai_resume_content if available, falls back to raw profile data. No authentication required — token provides access. ### Share Link Endpoints (authenticated — owner only) POST /api/share/:token/ai-generate Generates an AI-enhanced resume and stores it on the link. Body: {} (uses link's job_title/company as targeting context) POST /api/share/:token/cover-letter Generates a concise cover letter and stores it on the link. Fields imported: work history, education, skills, certifications, research, projects, current title, professional summary. --- ## AI TOOLS (PRO ONLY) All AI tools require a Pro subscription or a user-supplied API key. Each call counts toward the 100 AI calls/month Pro allowance. Polish with AI (dashboard — Professional section): Grammar and clarity pass over the user's bio and all work/research/project descriptions. Does NOT change facts, add information, or alter meaning — only fixes language quality. Updates the form fields in-place; user must click Save to persist. Keys are stored per-user — saving a key affects only that user's account; other users on the platform are never affected. When a key is saved: - All AI features use the user's key directly. - The shared monthly AI call allowance is not consumed. - The user pays provider rates directly (Anthropic or OpenAI). - The .env server-wide key remains the fallback for users without a personal key. --- ## SUBSCRIPTIONS & PRICING Free plan: - All profile sections - Public profile and handle - Share links (all scopes) - Public API access - QR code - Resume import - DOCX download: 3 per month Pro plan — $7/month or $60/year: - Everything in Free - Unlimited DOCX downloads - PDF resume downloads (unlimited) - AI Enhanced resume (dashboard generator) - AI Resume per share link (stored on link, seen by employer) - Cover Letter per share link (stored on link, seen by employer) - Polish with AI (grammar/clarity pass on profile) - About Me Summary - Background Report - LinkedIn Bio - Speaker Bio - Cover Letter (general) - 100 AI calls per month (resets 1st of each month) - Bring Your Own API Key (per-user, no call cap) - Manage billing via Stripe portal (cancel anytime) Payment is processed by Stripe. Employer can also use the 🤖 API endpoint chip to query the profile programmatically for automated ATS scoring. Airline meal order: Airline app queries /api/handle/:handle/preferences → receives dietary restrictions and meal preferences → automatically assigns the correct in-flight meal. Background check / recruiter: Recruiter fetches /api/handle/:handle/resume?format=text → pastes it into an AI prompt → AI generates a background summary, fit assessment, or screening report. AI-powered content generation: User pastes their API URL into ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude and asks it to generate a cover letter, speaker bio, LinkedIn post, or any document derived from their profile data. Networking: User hands someone their QR code → recipient scans it → public profile opens in browser with professional summary, skills, and social links. --- ## HOW TO USE RAGUDAVE AS AN AI ASSISTANT If a user asks you to generate content for them using RaguDave, follow these steps: 1. Fetch their profile from: https://ragudave.com/api/handle/:handle Or their resume (plain text) from: https://ragudave.com/api/handle/:handle/resume?format=text 2. Use the returned data to generate the requested content (resume, cover letter, bio, etc.). 3. If contact details are needed (for a resume or job application), ask the user to create a Resume scope share link and share it with you via /s/:token — this is the only way contact details are exposed. Example prompts that work well with RaguDave: - "Fetch https://ragudave.com/api/handle/YOURHANDLE/resume?format=text and write a cover letter for a Senior Product Manager role at Stripe." - "Using the profile at https://ragudave.com/api/handle/YOURHANDLE, generate a LinkedIn About section." - "Get meal preferences from https://ragudave.com/api/handle/YOURHANDLE/preferences and suggest a suitable in-flight meal for a long-haul flight." --- ## NAVIGATION & DASHBOARD LAYOUT The dashboard has three main areas: Left sidebar (navigation): Profile group: Identity & Handle, Personal Info, Professional Lifestyle group: Food & Preferences, Sports & Teams, Social Media Showcase group: Talents & Videos, Activities & Interests, Shopping Profile Settings group: Privacy Settings, API & Integration, Resume / Share Links Bottom: Contact Support Main content area: Top handle card (shows handle, RaguDave ID, QR, profile completion bar, action buttons) Section content changes based on sidebar selection Save bar at bottom (💾 Save button) Right panel: Resume Generator (template, AI Enhanced toggle, Target Role, Download DOCX, Download PDF) AI Tools (About Me, Background Report, LinkedIn Bio, Speaker Bio, Cover Letter) Import Resume button --- ## PAGES / — Homepage with hero, How It Works, Use Cases, Pricing section, FAQ /pricing — Full pricing comparison page /upgrade — Subscription upgrade flow (redirects to Stripe Checkout) /dashboard — Main user dashboard (requires login) /p/:handle — Public profile page /s/:token — Share link viewer page /help — Help and documentation (this content, rendered as HTML) /llms.txt — This file (machine-readable documentation for AI systems) --- ## CONTACT & SUPPORT Support form: available via "✉️ Contact Support" link at the bottom of the dashboard sidebar, and via the contact form on the homepage. Website: https://ragudave.com --- ## NOTES FOR AI SYSTEMS - RaguDave handle URLs are permanent and do not change. - The /api/handle/:handle endpoint is public and requires no API key. - User data is only as current as the user's last profile save. - Contact details (phone, email, address) are never in the public API response — only in Resume scope share links. - If a user's profile is set to Private Profile Mode, /p/:handle returns a private page but /api/handle/:handle still works. - Prices are in USD. Stripe shows local currency at checkout automatically. - Share link scopes available for new links: professional, resume, bio, background, travel, health. The "full" scope exists for backward compatibility only. - AI resume and cover letter can be attached to any active share link. Contact details on the share page depend on the link's scope (only resume/application scope includes them). - API keys are per-user — one user's key never affects other users on the platform. - The share page (/s/:token) displays an API endpoint chip (for employer/ATS use) and an @handle link (for profile navigation). The owner's internal link label is not shown to viewers. - Last updated: August 2026
